Play Tennis Gainesville’s 2026 Summer Camp got underway on June 8 and the first week was a huge success. Campers ages 8 to 17 took to the courts each morning for a half-day of tennis development, fitness and fun led by certified tennis professionals.
From the very first session, the energy at the Joyce Oransky Tennis Center was infectious. Campers were placed into appropriate ball levels — Red, Orange, Green and Yellow — ensuring every player received age-appropriate instruction tailored to where they are in their development. The week was filled with engaging drills, coordination and agility exercises, and daily match play that gave campers a chance to put their new skills to the test. Beyond the tennis, the coaching staff fostered an environment built on sportsmanship, teamwork and personal growth, making sure every camper felt supported and encouraged throughout the week.
There is still plenty of summer left to get in on the action. Camp runs through July 31, Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 1 PM, with the earliest drop-off available at 8:30 AM. Weekly rates are $185, with sibling discounts available for families registering multiple children. Single-day sessions are also offered at $60 for those who want to try it out before committing to a full week.
