PTG Summer Camp Continues Throughout July, Sign Up Today

Summer in North Central Florida is in full swing, and so are the young tennis players at Play Tennis Gainesville’s summer camp. Located at the Joyce Oransky Tennis Center, this program is offering kids a unique opportunity to sharpen their skills, make new friends, and fall in love with the sport of tennis in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Whether your child is picking up a racquet for the very first time or working to improve their match strategy, Play Tennis Gainesville is designed to help every camper grow both on and off the court. Led by passionate, certified coaches, the camp focuses on skill development, movement drills, and daily match play, all while emphasizing sportsmanship and fun.

June welcomed 27 enthusiastic campers, and 18 more are already signed up for July, with spots still available through the first week of August. That means there’s still time for local families to get involved in one of Gainesville’s most engaging youth sports opportunities of the summer.

At PTG, it’s not just about hitting forehands and backhands—it’s about building confidence, developing life skills, and fostering a love for the game. The camp welcomes players of all abilities and backgrounds, offering instruction that’s tailored to each child’s level and goals. Red, Orange, Green, and Yellow ball progression ensures that campers are learning in age-appropriate, developmentally sound ways.

As the summer winds down, Play Tennis Gainesville continues to serve up fun, fitness, and friendship. For families seeking an enriching and active summer activity, PTG’s camp is a game-changer.

Let this summer be the one your child discovers the joy of tennis, and maybe even a lifelong passion for the sport. You can still register for camps by clicking the button below! For more information or, please contact George Henry (henry@ustaflorida.com)
