Play Tennis Gainesville will offer two holiday camps this year, one in November and one in December, for juniors who want to improve their game or learn the fundamentals of tennis over their holiday breaks.
“The Gainesville community has supported our special camps in the past, so we wanted to continue that success by offering holiday camps again this year,” said Frank Swope, USTA Florida Director of Tennis Management. “These camps aim to provide juniors with a fun and safe activity to enjoy over their end-of-year holiday breaks.”
The facility will offer a Junior Thanksgiving Camp in November and a Junior Holiday Camp in December for players ages 6-14. Tennis Pro Geetha Velusamy will lead the camps with a focus on tennis stroke and strategy drills which participants will then use in a variety of tennis games.
